A Second Chance for Objects, Ideas and Creativity

Giving New Life to Old Treasures
Welcome to re-[imagine], a creative second-hand shop and workshop space nestled in the heart of Southbourne. Our name reflects our mission – to rethink, rework and re-love the things that others might overlook.
At re-[imagine], we believe everything deserves a second chance. From vintage furniture and fabrics to forgotten homeware and haberdashery, our space is filled with items ready for a new beginning. Whether you’re a maker, a browser or simply curious, we invite you to explore, get inspired, and see the potential in what already exists.
Discover the beauty of second chances.
At re-[imagine], we believe in giving every item – and every person – a second chance. Whether it’s a battered chair, a bundle of fabric or a forgotten teacup, everything in our shop has a story worth continuing.
We’re not just a shop – we’re a space for creativity, sustainability and community. We handpick vintage furniture, homeware, textiles, books and haberdashery, each with character and purpose. Many items have already been lovingly reimagined – curtains turned into bags, pots into planters, offcuts into placemats.
Our Southbourne shop also hosts regular creative workshops led by local artists and makers. These sessions offer more than just skills – they bring connection, calm and a shared sense of making something meaningful.

What began as a love for old things and a frustration with waste, quickly turned into a thriving shop and creative hub. Each item in the shop is handpicked – some are full of charm as they are, while others are just waiting for a bit of imagination. You’ll find plant pots made from teapots, beach bags stitched from vintage curtains, and countless other one-of-a-kind pieces.
Over time, re-[imagine] grew beyond the shop floor. We now host a vibrant and ever-changing calendar of creative workshops, from sewing and upcycling to DIY, painting and journalling. Every workshop is led by a talented local maker or teacher – and we’re always open to welcoming more into the fold.
